Motor accident management

Accident management software for motor claims.

Built for the businesses that handle non-fault motor claims: first notification of loss through hire, storage, recovery and engineering to the money coming back.

A note on the term. “Accident management” means two unrelated things in British software. One is workplace health and safety — RIDDOR reports, near misses, incident logs. The other, and the one this page is about, is the motor claims industry: non-fault road traffic accidents, replacement vehicles, credit hire, recovery, storage and the recovery of costs from the at-fault insurer.

Why it matters

The cost is running whether you can see it or not.

Hire and storage accrue daily. Engineering delays extend both. A third-party insurer that has not replied for three weeks is three weeks of exposure that somebody will eventually argue about.

The job of the software is to make that visible while it is still changeable — not to reconstruct it afterwards for a dispute you are already losing.

How accident management companies actually operate

Questions people ask

Is this workplace accident reporting software?

No. ClaimCore is for motor accident management — the businesses that handle non-fault road traffic claims, arrange replacement vehicles, recover and store damaged vehicles and recover their costs from the at-fault insurer. If you are looking for RIDDOR or workplace incident reporting, this is the wrong product.

What does accident management software need to do?

It has to hold the claim and the workstreams that run alongside it at the same time. A motor claim generates a replacement vehicle, often storage and recovery, usually an engineer's inspection, a set of signed documents and a running conversation with a solicitor and a third-party insurer. Each has its own dates and its own daily cost, and the claim's value is the sum of them.

Who uses it?

Accident management companies, credit hire operators, claims management businesses, vehicle replacement providers and recovery and storage operators — the businesses providing the service, not the people making a claim.

Does ClaimCore handle claims for the public?

No. ClaimCore is software. It is sold to the businesses that handle motor claims; it does not handle claims, arrange hire or supply vehicles itself. If you have had an accident, you need an accident management company, not a software provider.
